Bio
Reason you race:
The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. I love the training and then finding out if you can put it to use and let it all hang out come race time. And I enjoy going to new tracks and meeting new people. BMX is truly a very unique sport. It's never the same 2 weekends in a row. How could you not love racing BMX?
Who did you look up to when you first started racing?
Christophe Leveque, Gary Ellis, Tim "Fuzzy" Hall.
When and at what race did you turn pro and how old were you?
1996 ABA Grand Nationals. "The Best Race On Earth" I was 20 year's old.
What race did you turn AA pro?
My first AA race was the 1998 season opener in Reno, Nevada. I was in between "Thunder" Danny Nelson and Christophe Leveque. Yeah, not a good first AA lap, haha.
What is your favorite thing to do besides racing?
Working at my Tanning Salon in Chandler, Arizona, playing with my dogs, and going to the gym being a typical meat head. I'd also say going and ramping up some trails, but we don't have any trails anymore in AZ. So no trails here.
What kind of music do you listen to?
Anything but country. Mostly I'm down for some hard metal though.
If clip pedals we banned today, could you still be competitive on flats?
Heck yeah. I was raised on flats and wish BMX would go back. I'm the same slow speed with or with out clips, ha ha ha.
The one thing you can't live without:
Air, water, food.
Favorite Fly Racing product:
That's a hard one. I love all the Fly products that I'm lucky enough to use. I like knowing I can race at full throttle and that my head is fully protected in the Fly Platinum helmet. My brain will never be more scrambled then it already is in that bad dog. The pants are the most comfortable out there today. And the Fly Lite gloves feel like I have no gloves on at all. What can I say, I dig it all.
Words of Wisdom:
There is no tomorrow. If you want it, work at it and get it. Let nothing or nobody stop you from achieving your goals and dreams.
Any Thanks?
First I'd like to thank my family for all their support over the years. I'd like to thank all of my great sponsors for always making sure that I'm taken care of. And thanks for all the people who ever cheered for me. With out you guys, there would be silence.
